New zombie games.
« on: January 01, 2011, 03:26:02 pm »
Im a pretty big zombie fan guys. I've plated both Left 4 Deads and played that free Zombie MMORPG (Forgot the name. I disliked it because you had to choose certain classes and do a bunch more of stuff to actually ENJOY the game.) but I still feel like the whole zombie thing is missing something, like a game that gives you the feeling that your actually trying to survive. I think they should make a Left 4 Dead game where you can customize your own character and weapons, and buy your own ammo.

But that might just be me...

Thank you. I'm a huge fan of customization, and by god, I want some customization in my zombie games! I want to be set to a certain role, like heavy gunner, or medic, or leader. I want to be able to scavenge for my supplies instead of unlimited ammo for pistols. I want to have the feeling like I'm surviving a zombie apocalypse.  You got any suggestions of what zombie game I should get?

Hmm. Well for good Survival Horror I would play Resident Evil 4 (One of the greatest games ever made.) Arguably not zombies, but they come close and you definitely feel like you are surviving a viral outbreak.

Another would be Dead Space. Space Zombies at their finest. That game is terrifying and holds very true to the survival horror genre. Constantly being low on ammo and the dark environment of a derelict ship is perfect for this type of game.

Left 4 Dead you have already played. So I would have to recommend the Zombie mode on either Call of Duty: World at War or Call of Duty: Black Ops. It's a very addicting game mode that pits you against an endless horde of zombies in a wave style game play.

And for a bit of fun I would recommend Plants vs. Zombies. Very colorful and fun game. So addicting.

I like the Resident Evil series, although I was kinda disappointed by number 5. I never got to play 4, because frankly, as a kid, my mother never let me play the fun stuff. Had to get it from my dad, who was in another city. My first Mature game was Vice City. Fun times.

Dead Space is alright. I played only the first chapter though, because I started to get bored. I actually predicted where the necromorphs would come from. I would then watch my friend play chapter 11 on hard, where he would die. Over and over again. This annoyed me just watching it, and I tend to break things when annoyed. So, I'm just gonna stay away from that.

I have Black Ops, and I do play zombie mode, although playing by yourself is boring, and playing it with my little brother is just as worse because he totally sucks at it, and playing it with someone online who doesn't know how to play it or doesn't have a mic is complete torture. When you find the ray of sunshine which would be someone who knows what they're doing and talkative. But my horrible luck suggest that I get stuck with little kids who think I'm a homosexual and want to have sexual relationships with my mother. Thank god for the mute option :D

Hate to sound like a Negative Nancy, but this is what I see.
