Yes, another one of those love it or hate it TV Series. I for one find it extremely entertaining and a stereotypical outlook on how "nerds" are looked upon. The main cast includes four best friends who for the most part cant get a woman to save their lives:

Sheldon: Physicist. Known for being the smartest of the quartet and most socially akward. Doesnt know how to interact with others very well. Large ego. Doesnt understand sarcasm, women or why people would ever want to have sex.

Leonard: Sheldons roommate and a Physicist as well. Constantly trying to win over the affection of the lead female on the show Penny. Most sarcastic of the group and generally the most normal.

Howard: The only one of the four who is not a Doctor but still holds a Masters from MIT. Always trying to seduce women and very rarely succeeds because hes a group. Known for being Jewish, living with his mother and having a low tolerance for Sheldon.

Raj: Originally from India. Astrophysicist. Known for not being able to speak to women due to selective mutism unless hes drunk. Also was duped into believing Thanksgiving was a day where foreigners give presents to Americans.

And lastly the female lead Penny: Not intellectual at all compared to the guys. Has an on off relationship with Leonard. Gets around with a bunch of guys regularly and is a waitress at the Cheesecake Factory.

Overall It's a good show. Some weeks have weaker episodes but some are just hysterical. Tons of pop culture references are made and some pretty decent guest stars including Stan Lee - Creator of Spider Man, Steve Wosniak - co founder of Apple and George Takei(the original Sulu)

Definately worth checking out
