It seems to me almost that the OoT 3DS is Miyamoto signing farewell and paying homage to Zelda. Because Skyward Sword is supposed to take Zelda in a whole different direction than he previously wanted when he first created Legend of Zelda. So it sort of seems like his release of Ocarina of Time is almost a message in and of itself.

Not going to lie, I will probably buy a 3DS just for OoT.

That alone justifies it.
