Sony has just revealed Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception to the media! This is very exciting news for anyone who owns a PS3 or is a fan of the series. Sony will be revealing the game to the general public this Saturday night during the VGA award ceremony to be accompanied by a teaser trailer. So if you were not planning on watching the VGA Awards I hope you are now otherwise you will miss out on a big reveal.
Anyway. On to what we know about the game. Uncharted 3 will have a main focal point around the relationship between Nathan and Sully while they search for some mysterious lost city in the Rhub Al' Khali Desert. Naughty Dog has said that T.E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) was a MAJOR inspiration and influence on the game design and story. I think that is wonderful! If Uncharted 3 is anything like Lawrence of Arabia it should be wildy entertaining not to mention visually astounding.
There will definitely be a darker theme in Uncharted 3. As the game's title is "Drake's Deception." Sony and Naughty Dog have said nothing regarding what exactly this will entail but they will leave the audience pondering our friend at the end of the trailer. Personally, I look forward to a darker twist thrown into the overall theme of the game. We are left with this quote:
