This a post regarding the anticipation of the Nintendo 3DS set to come out early next year. I personally cannot effing WAIT.

Features:
-3D capabilities (no duh)
-Augmented Reality (The ability to place things seemingly in real life when they are not. More at Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Augmented_reality)
-3D movie playback capabilities (Dreamworks and Disney have already confirmed movies set to release with the console)
-IMPROVED MP (You can now play over the internet instead of having to sit next to each other. This feature is personally one of my favorites and there is still more to be said about the improved WiFi capabilities on the 3DS and what new things it will bring us.)
-Miis (You can now transfer the famous avatars we all know and love between Wii and 3DS!)
-Adjustable 3D angle of view (This feature is a huge plus for all those NOT wanting to play in 3 dimensions. You can change the angle at which the 3D is projected, or completely turn it off!)
-And many many more features to still be announced or I left out!
Let's hear your opinion!!!!!!!!!!!
The word "stoked" comes to mind and it still seems to be an understatement.
There are a lot of rumors on this thing being very pricey though ($300 you can buy all of the major systems for that price). This kind of saddens me and I hope it is only a rumor as it will weed out a lot of potential buyers.
I am definitely looking forward to the library of games on it though. OoT, Starfox, Kid Icarus, Professor Layton vs Pheonix Wright? A list of titles.
Who does everyone think OoT will hold up on the 3DS? Will it flop? Or since it is one of the best Zelda games will it be way more improved?
I think it will hold up pretty well. It it certainly a little sketchy when companies decide to remake timeless classics because there is always the chance at of failure (Goldeneye Wii is an example).
That being said, Nintendo generally plays no games with its classic remakes. Masterquest was amazing for the Gamecube, Super Mario 64 DS was pretty much a carbon copy of its N64 brother. People have been clamoring for a DS version of OoT since launch so they honestly can not afford to go wrong here.
Plus. Its Miyamoto and the original team working on it. Can you go wrong there?
I think that that is a smart move, to have the original team working on the remake of OoT. I am also wondering about how much 3D the game will actually be and what all will be popping out at you.
Wow. Ladies and Gentlemen. I have just seen something amazing. The Nintendo 3DS will push the limits of handheld graphical and presentational limits. I am now 100% sold on this system.
